The Careers Ministry at Willow Creek offers events and workshops that people can participate in.
Lifework Transitions
The Lifework Transitions Workshop is a 9-week workshop that helps you discover the type of Career you should be pursuing based on who God has designed you to be and then assists you with the practical search skills necessary for finding your next job. The first three weeks of the workshop assists you in identifying your unique personality, assesses how you work, your values, skills and the types of jobs that would be a "best fit" for you. The final six weeks help you integrate your skills, strengths and abilities into your Resume, Networking and Interviewing process so that you can market yourself toward the career that is a fit for you.
To register for the Lifework Transitions Workshop
Go to the Willow Creek Careers webpage, and fill in the form, or to pay by cash or to request a scholarship, print off the registration form and fill it in. Mail it back to the address listed on the bottom of the form.
Job Connection Website
Search through quality job opportunities at the Job Connection. Review and apply for jobs in the Chicagoland area. Post your current resume on the site to allow local businesses and companies to contact you directly. A video resume (30-40 seconds) will become available in the first half of 2008 for you to get "face time" with employers. Post your video and move from becoming a "piece of paper" to an actual person. All services are free on the Job Connection website (to employers and job seekers).
